"mu" is a lighTable sculpture with 12V 0.24W white LED-driven fibre-optics sandwiched in the top,

and remote-control colour-changing 12V 3.5W (RGB) LED in the base (supplied by Lighthouse Electronics),

with a 55mm Quartz sphere centred in the support, and a 110mm crystal glass sphere placed on top.

With the crystal glass sphere lifted off, the top with its fibre-optics (held down by NdFeB magnets)

can be removed, and the sphere replaced to form a topless, vertically-symmetrical light feature.

The remaining support structure is in two equal halves, also held together by NdFeB magnets,

trapping the Quartz sphere between them.

Bedlington Bookcase

Individual commission of a solid timber Bookcase / shelving system,

constructed from prime grade White Ash sealed with Tung / Danish Oil:

designed, built and installed as five connected units (with hidden fixings & anchor points).
